MGIMO MBA Programme provides in-depth analysis and practical application of cutting-edge management tools and seeks to systematically develop the skills of a modern manager in a global multicultural business environment.
The MBA Programme is focused on giving substantial theoretical and practical knowledge of management principles, as well as instilling skills for independent use of such knowledge to develop an efficient business development strategy tailored to the best international management experience. The MBA Programme is designed for managers and specialists with higher education and at least three years of experience who plan to further their career and will need knowledge and skills to run the relevant business processes. Upon completion, each student is granted a MGIMO Diploma as a Master of Business Administration.

Programme Structure
The Programme comprises 3 units: core courses, elective courses, and specialization courses.
Core courses comprise economics, law, finance, etc., to help the student understand the basics of business and its external environment; they also include courses relating to management and business development strategies, which are fundamental to solving the management problems from the standpoint of functional positioning in a strategic perspective
Elective courses are the ones the student can choose to tailor the programme to their personal interests for a greater engagement in shaping the personal learning curve.
Specialization courses are functional and industrial courses that consider the most important aspects of business and management in detail; they are tailored to the specialization. These courses are adjusted to the students’ personal organizational and career interests.

International Oil and Gas Business
The fuel and energy complex is the powerhouse of the Russian economy and is largely presented by the oil and gas industry. Oil and gas business has become more and more global over the years, which makes it imperative that the industry is filled with highly professional top and mid-level managers with knowledge of the basics of economic and managerial disciplines. Training is designed to feature the specifics of the oil and gas business, which allows the graduates to apply the knowledge when they have to form an effective development strategy for the company.
Economics and Management in International Business
In order to be efficient at operating in the international market it is essential to be educated in the features of economics and management in the context of globalization. While training, listeners will learn to apply their theoretical knowledge in real world market situations, which down the road will allow them to make the best management decisions when their companies enter the world market of goods and services.
Strategic Marketing and Management

The Strategic Marketing and Management specialization combines traditional marketing disciplines and up-to-date management disciplines, including leadership and talent management, risk management, financial management and personnel management. Within this Specialization, strategic management represents the upper level of a company’s management, and is designed to provide for a company’s development avenues and its commercial sustainability.
Digital Economy
Joint Programme with Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology
Providing a fast, reliable Internet connection to every Russian citizen including residents remote locations, replacing university diplomas and employment record books with career pathways, building «smart» cities, and even automating the system of making government decisions – these are the main goals set forth in the programme for developing Russia’s digital economy. In this training students will develop an understanding of the features and capabilities of and the current promising information and communication technologies that form the basis of the digital economy.
Entrepreneurship and Corporate Governance
The Entrepreneurship and Business Management Specialization is meant both for entrepreneurs who find business development and transformation very topical issues, and those working in Russian and overseas companies and public corporations and ready to face changes in their career.
Agribusiness Management and Foreign Trade in Agricultural Products
The program includes new technologies and management tools to achieve increased profits, capitalization and competitiveness in the agrifood tech sector. The structure of the program is built around key points of competitiveness growth - marketing, management, innovative business processes and personnel management.
Management in the Tourism Industry
The program is aimed at developing in students new competencies necessary for professional activities in the field of management in the tourism industry and the implementation of successful business projects in the field of tourism and hospitality.
Finance
The program covers essentials of the management discipline during the first year of the study and the specialization in Finance mainly during the second year. It aims to cultivate professionals for top finance positions such as Chief Finance Officers and Finance Managers in a wide range of industries. Upon completion of the program, in addition to general management skills, students will be equipped with theory and practical training in corporate finance, financial markets and institutions, investments, securities analysis, risk management and other related disciplines.

Modular. 20 months. 6 two-week full-time intensive modules (from 10 a.m. till 8 p.m.)
Weekend. 20 months. Once a month (Friday through Sunday, 9 a.m. till 7 p.m.)
