Advanced Training for MGIMO Faculty

Skills and competence enhancement of MGIMO faculty is another key task for the School of Business and International Proficiency, and is regarded as sine qua non to improve the University activity.

Advanced training of academic staff and management and administrative workers is part of the corporate staff policy, and is considered the most important criterion to assess the University activity.

Advanced training combines self-education, training within certain programmes and courses at MGIMO or other universities, internship at relevant organizations and companies in Russia or abroad, and participation in seminars.

MGIMO workers take their advanced training course when needed, but as often as once in five years. The School of Business and International Proficiency arranges specialist skills and competence enhancement courses and programmes, inter-Department seminars and conferences, coordinates internships in Russia and overseas.  Thus, the School of Business and International Proficiency does a very important job - it develops the staff potential including issues of succession of generations and transfer of unique teaching experience to form a stable and highly professional collective of professors and workers of the University.
