February 27th, the introductory presentation on digital technologies and digital transformation for the “Digital Economy” MBA students of the MGIMO-MIPT joint programme was again held by IMB experts. IBM is the world’s largest IT employer. The guests learnt about the latest achievements in AI, cloud technologies and information security.

February 27th, the introductory presentation on digital technologies and digital transformation for the “Digital Economy” MBA students of the MGIMO-MIPT joint programme was again held by IMB experts. IBM is the world’s largest IT employer. The guests learnt about the latest achievements in AI, cloud technologies and information security.

Valery Levchenko, Head of the IBM press service in Russia and CIS countries, welcomed the participants and gave a brief description of IBM's activities and presented some of the innovative solutions, technologies and projects developed by the company, which took decades and had a direct impact on the formation of the modern IT industry.

Alexander Dmitriev, Industrial Consultant at the IBM Client Center, spoke to the students of the Digital Economy programme about the work of his unit and explained how the Center’s experts help potential customers implement the latest analytical and infrastructure solutions on demo stands.

Oleg Byakhov, the Director of State Programmes and Business Development for IBM in Russia and CIS countries, presented to the participants the results of the study “The advantage of trust: how to create it?”, carried out by the analytical department of IBM Institute for Business Value. The study revealed the financial advantages of data being trustworthy in companies and showed that such trust should be built both with customers and with other members of the ecosystem.

Oleg Bakshinsky, IBM’s Leading Advisor for Information Security underlined the importance of cybersecurity in the modern digital world and spoke about the main cyber threats today and the Company's information security initiatives.

Evgeny Maximov, Head of the Business Development for the Transfer and Localization of IBM technologies in Russia and CIS countries spoke about the opportunities for Russian participants (IT-infrastructure and universities) of the international OpenPOWER consortium.

Irina Efremova-Garth, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at IBM in Russia and CIS countries presented different social responsibility programmes at IBM and explained how technologies can help make the world fair and just.
