The students of the dual degree program MGIMO and ADA University (Azerbaijan) MBA in Finance studied Islamic finance in classes taught by I.B. Turuiev, First Vice President of Gazprombank JSC and Professor at the Department of International Finance at MGIMO.

I.Turuev shared his experience and knowledge in the field of Islamic financial instruments, their characteristics, and their application in international practice. The participants of the programme learned about the principles of the Islamic banking and how Islamic finance can contribute to the sustainable development and economic growth.

The classes sparked great interest among the participants. They emphasized the importance of understanding the principles of Islamic finance for specialists in the field of international finance. The classes also included a discussion on the prospects for the development of Islamic finance in Russia and abroad.
