November 23rdsaw the start of the "Management in Fashion Industry" MBA programme, implemented in cooperation with the British Higher School of Art and Design.
Among those who came to congratulate the students on the beginning of the studies were A.Mirzoeva, Director of the Business School of MGIMO, A.Butrym, Director of BHSAD, and D.Yadernaya, supervisor of the new programme.
"This is the first intake of students enrolled in the joint MGIMO and BHSAD programme. The programme is accredited by the MBA Association which traditionally setshighest standards for business schools", noted Angelika M. Mirzoeva.
The programme uniquely combines methodology and classical approach to MBA education in MGIMO with expertise, creative thinking and business tools of the British Higher School of Art and Design.
All the faculty who teach the keydisciplines related to fashion-business work in this field. Among them are Robin Brown, former Regional Director and Training Consultant with Walmart and Fred Myer, Maksim Agakhanov, Marketing Director with MichaelKors, Armani Jeans, Calvin Klein Jeans, Topshop and Marina Kazakova, Owner of Woodie Bureau and Concept Author of Adidas Superstar in Kuznetskij Most.
The curriculum includes meetings with the leading experts in the field of commercial fashion who represent such companies as Max Mara, Stefanel, Buro24/7, Aizel among others. During the studies students have an opportunity to interact with world-class designers and fashion experts.
Moreover, the programme envisages taking an optional intensive course abroad in International University, Monaco.
The graduates will get two diplomas - from the MGIMO Business School and the British Higher School of Art and Design.
