MGIMO presents a new course on the distance learning platform Coursera — Diasporas in Global Politics. It was developed by I.D.Loshkaryov, Lecturer at the Political Theory Department.

The course is designed to familiarize students in different levels of training and specialization with the interdisciplinary avenue of research which is known in foreign scientific literature as Diaspora Studies. The course aims to give students an idea of the role diasporas play in global politics.

The “Diasporas in Global Politics” course draws on students’ basic knowledge about the political system of modern states, ethnic and religious diversity of the world.
