21 September, a group of Babson College (USA) students visited MGIMO University. This was a part of the cooperation program between MGIMO School of Business and International Proficiency and Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE).
21 September, a group of Babson College (USA) students visited MGIMO University. This was a part of the cooperation program between MGIMO School of Business and International Proficiency and Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE).
Babson College, which is one of the oldest colleges in the United States, received international recognition for its programs in the area of business and enterprise in today’s changing global environment. Babson College business programs were recognized to be the best by universities of Stanford, Harvard, Penn State University and MIT.
The meeting began with a presentation of MGIMO School of Business and International Proficiency. The director of the business-school Ms.A.Mirzoeva gave a greeting speech at the beginning. The deputy director and cooperation program manager Mr.E.Glazov talked to the listeners about the MGIMO University, the advantages of studying in this university, about its notable graduates and some exclusive features of MGIMO.
The meeting also included a presentation of current studying programs of the School of Business and International Proficiency given in English language. Ms.Olga Fomina the manager of the international programs presented the “Entrepreneurship in Emerging Markets” MBA program and a few short English language based programs “Doing Business in Russia”, “Energy Policy” and “International Business”.
Ms.A.Shashkova who is a research manager of the «Corporate Director» MBA program spoke to the Babson College students about specific features of doing business in Russia. Her speech was followed by a review of current economic situation in Russia given by a research manager of the «Financial Director» MBA program Mr.V.Tkachev. Their presentations found a lot of interest and an abundance of questions from the audience.
By the time the event was coming to its end an active discussion was underway, during which the Babson College students asked a number of questions, ranging from conditions of admission to MGIMO to questions regarding the currents situation in the Russian labor market, agriculture, duration of the sanctions imposed on Russia and even motivation methods for employees that would be typical in Russia.
