July 12th, A. A. Abduvakhitov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan and Rector of University of World Economy and Diplomacy, paid a visit to MGIMO. During his visit, A. A. Abduvakhitov met with A. V. Malgin, Vice-Rector of MGIMO University, and attended the ceremony of closing the «International Journalism, Cultural Diplomacy and Public Relations» programme organized by the School of Business and International Proficiency for MA students from University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
July 12th, A. A. Abduvakhitov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan and Rector of University of World Economy and Diplomacy, paid a visit to MGIMO. During his visit, A. A. Abduvakhitov met with A. V. Malgin, Vice-Rector of MGIMO University, and attended the ceremony of closing the «International Journalism, Cultural Diplomacy and Public Relations» programme organized by the School of Business and International Proficiency for MA students from University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
The programme was designed to train specialists to promote Uzbekistan in an international environment. While making presentations of their final project papers in the form of a business-like game «Application for EXPO-2025», the students demonstrated the knowledge and skills they acquired during their studies.
The students represented five Uzbekistani cities which could claim to be the venue for hosting a global exhibition. Presentations were made both in English and Russian.
The closing ceremony was attended by Uzbekistani Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary B. B. Ashrafkhanov, officials from the Embassy of Uzbekistan, and Director of the School of Business A. M. Mirzoeva.
The programme included intensive classes to perfect interpretation and translation skills as well as master-classes.
Upon completion of the course the students got their certificates on advanced training.
