MBA Digital Economy programme visited Rusnano

June 13 students of the joint MGIMO — MIPT MBA Digital Economy programme visited Rusnano to familiarize with new tendencies of digital technologies’ development and usage in the energy engineering sector.

June 13 students of the joint MGIMO — MIPT MBA Digital Economy programme visited Rusnano to familiarize with new tendencies of digital technologies’ development and usage in the energy engineering sector.

The event took place in the Rusnano press center in Moscow. Deputy Chairman of the Board of RUSNANO MANAGEMENT COMPANY LLC Yuri Udaltsov told the students of the Digital Economy program about the Rusnano Group’s (including including JSC RUSNANO, RUSNANO MANAGEMENT COMPANY LLC and Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs) corporate business line about technology clusters, which have by now emerged in in the Russian nanotech industry, and of projects on investing into creation and support of enterprises that produce goods with the use of nanotechnologies. Among the basic technologis vectors rapidly being developed by Rusnano, Y. Udaltsov named nanoelectronics and photonics, coating and modification of surfaces, nanobiopharmaceutics, nuclear medicine, solar and windpower, solid household waste recycling, flexible electronics, industrial energy storage, nanomodified materials. He also noted that even though Rusnano does invest into foreign projects, the company does that only on the condition of transfer of the technologies to Russia.

Digital Economy MBA Programme students actively participated in the event. They shared their own experience and asked questions. They were particularly interested in the statistics of implementing innovative projects, infrastructure of the support of these projects and investment amount.

The event was prepared by Rusnano jointly with the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, responsible for the specialization courses within the program. These trips are part of the learning experience and allows the Digital Economy Program’s students to dive into the working environment of real companies and study the modern approaches to digitalizing economy and business in practice.
