June 7 MGIMO and Corteva Agriscience™ signed a cooperation agreement to develop the Master’s Programme «World Agricultural Markets» on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

The document was signed by rector of MGIMO, A. V. Torkunov and Corteva Agriscience™ General Director A. M. Kozachkov in the presence of Deputy Minister of Agricultu of the Russian Federation S. L. Levin.

The formalized arrangements include joint setting up of lecture courses within the frameworks of the World Agricultural Markets Master’s Programme, participation of representatives of Corteva Agriscience™ and its partners in reading lectures, conducting classes, master classes and other events for MGIMO students and trainees, and project implementation. The parties also intend to cooperate in the field of scientific research.

Corteva Agriscience™ — is the only large scientific research company in the world that deals solely with agriculture. Having united the super strength of companies like DuPont Pioneer, DuPont Crop Protection and Dow AgroSciences, Corteva Agriscience™ incorporated the best minds and experience in the field of agriculture, acquired in the last two centuries of scientific scientific achievement, so as to equally enrich the lives of the manufacturer and the consumer.

MGIMO was the first in Russia to launch a Master’s programme on staff training in the management sphere for the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. The World Agricultural Markets Master’s Program is mainly oriented at preparing top level professionals capable of effectively representing Russian interests on global markets of agriculture goods. The program is being implemented together with the Stravropol State Agricultural University, the Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy and the Kuban State Agrarian University.
